COLUMBIA COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT DEPUTY CLERK. The Columbia County Clerk’s Ofﬁce is seeking a part-time Deputy Clerk. This position requires the employee to perform a variety of complex and diverse clerical work including, but not limited to, knowledge of ofﬁce clerical procedures and practices. The primary responsibilities will include scanning court documents, efﬁcient maintenance of court ﬁles, data entry, assisting with and answering questions from the public, attorneys, other individuals, being able to compose clear and accurate correspondence as needed and any other duties given by the Clerk. In addition, the employee will receive training and be certiﬁed for processing passport applications. Any one position may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all duties in which may be performed. Other duties performed as an employee in this position will be primarily performed for the Superior Court. This work is conﬁdential in nature and performed under general and infrequent supervision. Some tasks will include maintaining court ﬁles of all criminal, civil, domestic, probate, adoption/paternity, juvenile dependency, juvenile offender, and judgments. Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent (GED); - Prefer prior ofﬁce experience; - Computer skills and proﬁciency of ofﬁce machines. This job will be seven (7) hours a day, 25-28 hours per week, to begin January 3, 2022. Pay will be determined upon qualiﬁcations. Medical and dental beneﬁts are included.
