Students from Dayton Elementary's First Grade chattered their way downtown to have their hand-made Christmas Tree ornaments placed on the 2021 Community Christmas Tree by Pacific Power's Doug Hinds. Ornaments made with love and care were added to the tree throughout the afternoon, and the tree will be officially lighted following the Lighted Parade Friday evening, just ahead of the fireworks. Getting their ornaments put up Tuesday afternoon were, from left to right, Chase Steinhoff, teacher Mrs. Laib, Aeret Walter, Hunter Stearns, name not disclosed, Auri Lindley, Ariyah Hopwood, Landyn Wertz, Mason Papineau, Taylor Baker, Wyatt Wolther, Mason Gatlin, Seth Johnson, Samuel Dieu, Hadley Clarys, Hailey Mead, Reagan Dobbs, teacher Darby Souza, K.J. Hicks, Josiah Rundell, Tommy Adams, Noah Ferguson, Parker Rossi and Lola Wendt.
