Construction of the Columbia County Health System's Assisted Living Project, dubbed River's Walk Assisted Living Facility, is proceeding a stone's throw from Dayton General Hospital's Main Entrance. One building has roofing and windows, and plumbing and electrical subcontractors are busy inside, according to CCHS CEO Shane McGuire. Construction of the other three units is being stalled by wet ground, which prevents concrete from being poured. Whether the project will be completed by the predicted July deadline is still up in the air, McGuire says, given how wet late winter and springtime weather can be, but that's the goal.
