Their winning ways continued as the dejected Lady Irish dropped the fourth set 25-11, setting up a tight 16-14 fifth set win by Dayton-Waitsburg. In the fourth set, Teagan Larsen served 12 straight points to lift the team.

"We started off slow and made lots of unforced errors," commented Head Coach Tara Brenner. "DW found their rhythm and worked through the challenge together as a team. I'm very proud of how our ladies never quit playing and wanted to do their best to keep their momentum."

At Mabton last Thursday, DW regained composure in the third set but fell in the fourth, losing the first pair 25-13, 25-22, then prevailing 25-22 in the third before the fourth at 25-19.

Sadie Seney nailed four kills, and Amy Farley and Kirsten Miller each pounded three.

Five had 100% serve rates: Kailyn Lewis, Teagan Larsen, Elise Steinhoff, Mackena Culley and Cassidy Laughery.

Seney had four blocks and Farley two.

Defensively, Steinhoff made 21 digs and Miller 15.
