Dayton man accused of child rape

DAYTON–A 32-year-old Dayton man is in custody in Columbia County Jail, charged with two counts of rape of a child and one count of child molestation. An omnibus/trial setting hearing has been set for December 4 at 11 a.m.

Jose Guadalupe Flores Hernandez was taken into custody on October 30 by Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies in the 700 block of West Commercial Avenue. He pleaded not guilty to Rape of a Child, First Degree; Rape of a Child, Second Degree; and Child Molestation, Second Degree, in a hearing in Judge Pro Tem G. Scott Marinella’s court on November 5.

At a probable cause/bond hearing October 30, Judge Marinella ordered Flores Hernandez held on $100,000 bond, with restrictions of surrender of passport and travel documents, residence restricted to the 100 block of N. Cherry Street, no contact with the victim, witnesses, Jacqueline Flores or other minors in the household.
