LEWISTON–Competitive Carriers Association presented Chip Damato and Inland Cellular with the prestigious 2020 Industry Innovation Award for demonstrating innovation within the wireless industry. The CCA Annual Achievement Awards honor companies and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service and contributed time and resources to the wireless industry, their local community, and CCA. Damato is the Executive Vice President of Inland Cellular and Emerge Technologies.

“We are constantly looking for better ways to deliver quality service to our customers,” Damato explains. “We don’t shy away from trying something new. This Open RAN technology helps future proof our network in an efficient way, and our customers will benefit from its flexibility for years to come.”

Inland Cellular deployed solutions to upgrade our 4G/LTE network providing better coverage and enabling new services with Open RAN architecture, being one of the first to deploy it in the United States and run live traffic. These upgrades and leveraging virtualized, cloud-native, and software-defined solutions provide better coverage and services for our customers and prepare our network for the next generation of wireless.

The Industry Innovation Award recognizes the efforts of Inland Cellular to expand its ability to meet connectivity needs in the community, including smart homes, connected farms, smart enterprises, and other services.
