DAYTON–After many years of service as the Radiology Manager, Pam Gembala, RT(R), CT announced that she would be stepping down to an as-needed technician role to focus on other career objectives in her life. With so many years of dedication to the imaging department's success and patient-centered service, it was going to be a challenge to fill the position, but Columbia County Health System has been fortunate to find the perfect individual to continue the excellent work Pam started.

Scott Cadman, BASM, RT(R), CT received his x-ray technologist registration in 2006 after serving in the Navy aboard a fast frigate as a Sonar Technician and working for Federal Express (FedEx) for a few years. Scott spent 14-years working at St. Mary's Medical Center and received his Computed Tomography (CT) registration in 2010. Scott is a life-long learner and teacher, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Hospital Administration and Management in 2020.

Scott and his wife have two sons: Austin and Levi. Scott has very close family connections to Dayton with his Great–Great Grandfather Claude "Curly" Black having served as the Grand Marshal for Dayton Days, and his Great Grandfather Roy Cadman serving as a County Commissioner until his passing in 1984. His grandfather, David Cadman, received the MVP award from the 1947, Dayton High School football squad, and sometime later, he married Bobbe Black-Cadman, a former queen of the Harvest Ball.

With close links to Dayton, his passion for learning, and his patient-centered disposition, Scott is an amazing addition to the team at Columbia County Health System. He has hit the ground running, and among other tasks, he is working to get our CT scanner nationally accredited through low-dose scanning, which will add preventative CT scanning and screening to our list of service offerings.
