Wolfpack outpaces River View

Dayton-Waitsburg Wolfpack second baseman Cyson Morris put the "yeeeerrrr out!" tag on a River View Panther baserunner in action from last week's 21-9 win on the diamond in Waitsburg.

WAITSBURG–The Wolfpack nine rallied after a bunch of River View Panther JV hits and runs in the early innings to register a 21-9 win here April 28.

The young team cramped down on the Panthers after a big first inning, keeping their composure and battling back with hits and runs. Dayton-Waitsburg garnered 24 hits in the game while River View had only five.

Jasper Morrow relieved Zach Durham in the first inning after the Panthers had counted four runs, Morrow going on to strike out five and hold River View to three earned runs. Tyson Durham came in in the fourth inning to strike out two and keep the cats under the lid.

Zack Durham was five for five at the plate with four RBIs and four runs.

Quinn Benevides was also successful in the batter's box, going four for four, getting walked twice, scoring five runs and getting one RBI.

Tyson Durham was 4 for 5 at the plate with 4 RBIs, 2 walks and 2 runs scored.


Monte Pettichord was another Wolfpack batter who went 4 for 5 with 4 RBIs scored 3 runs and was walked once.

Clint Kuykendall scored three runs, going 3 for 5 at the plate with 2 RBIs and 2 walks.

Levi Boudreaux patiently worked the pitcher for four walks, was 1 for 1 with 1 RBI, and scored 1 run.

Cyson Morris scored a run and had 1 RBI.

Jasper Morrow was 1 for 3 in the batter's box with 2 RBI's, 2 walks and 1 run scored.

Jayce Gleason scored a run and was walked twice.
