It's shiny, it's sporty, it's fast and it's red! This MG hard-topped coupe drew the admiring glances of visitors to the 2019 All Wheels Weekend in this file photo. Many exciting, fully restored, custom and recently found as-is vehicles will once again line both sides of downtown Dayton during this annual Father's Day weekend event.

DAYTON–The All Wheels Weekend 2021 Car Show is full-speed ahead with events taking place on Main Street here on Father's Day weekend, June 18, 19, and 20. To finalize the Show and Shine competitions, the trophy presentation will take place in the Historic Depot Courtyard at 4 p.m.

There will be more entertainment with Saturday Night Music by the Frog Hollow Band on the Courthouse lawn at 6–9 p.m., facing 3rd Street which will be closed to permit dancing.

Sunday offers a Father's Day Breakfast, sponsored by the Skyline Juniors, at the Columbia County Fairgrounds at 7:30–10:30 a.m. and a Golf Tournament and $10,000 putting contest at 9 a.m.–12 p.m., sponsored by Gravis Law.

The popular Demo Derby, usually held Sunday at the Columbia County Fairgrounds, is postponed until Saturday, July 17 due to attendance restrictions in place. Tickets with entrant packets will be honored in July.

A 1978 Jeep J-10 pickup project is in the 2021 Raffle. This 4x4 half-ton rig with a 360 c.i. V-8 will go to the winning $10 ticket. The drawing will be during the trophy presentation.

The Dayton Historic Depot Society will have its vintage hand car on the tracks near the Depot at 2nd and Commercial Ave.

Even though some attractions have been temporarily omitted this year, the three-day weekend event promises plenty of whole family action. "It's been a difficult year," commented Event Chairwoman Bette Lou Crothers. "We were not able to plan too far in advance because we did not know how COVID would affect us. We're thankful that under the rule in place now, we can have the Show and Shine, music downtown and many of the normal things we do.

"Downtown will be pretty much as it has always been," she said.

The CDC Phase 3 COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.
