DAYTON–Craig and Nikki Corbeill of Colfax, Wash., have recently purchased the Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home here from long-time director, George Touchette.

The funeral home located in the heart of Dayton's business district has been continuously operated since its opening in 1905. Touchette and his late wife, Randi Rogg, returned to Dayton shortly after they were married to join her father, J. Vern Rogg, in the business. George and Randi continued to run the funeral home following Vern's death in 1976. Randi passed away September 14, 2019.

"It gets to a point in life," Touchette said, "that it's time. It's been a long career." Touchette joined his father-in-law in the business over 50 years ago.

"The community has supported the business quite well, and I'm very appreciative of that," said Touchette. He plans to travel and spend additional time in Hawaii.

The Corbeill's have owned and operated Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax and Kimball Funeral Home, Pullman, for the last 20 years. Craig began his funeral directing career in Kellogg, Id., in 1991, moved to Moscow, Id., in 1995 and to Colfax in 2000. He is currently serving on the board of directors for the Washington State Funeral Directors Association and was Past-President of the same in 2017. They have three grown children and three grandchildren. When not working, they enjoy spending time at Lake Coeur d'Alene with family.

The Craig and Nikki Corbeill look forward to working with the Dayton and surrounding communities, meeting new friends and getting to know the area.
