DAYTON–The White Swan Cougars came to town and left with a couple losses Tuesday, March 29. Dayton-Waitsburg walked off with a 15-14 win in the opener, and a 7-6 win in the second game.

The Lady Wolfpack, 0-2 in league, 2-4 overall, returns to action April 16 against River View on the home diamond.

Megan Forney pitched the first game, holding the Lady Cougars to five hits and struck out three.

"She also had a great day at the plate," said Head Coach Carly Benavides, "with a double and a triple."

Peyton Struckmeier nailed a home run.

DW bats counted 13 hits against Redheart and Olney.

In the second game, play was stopped in the fifth with DW leading 7-6. Pitcher Madison Gallardo struck out seven and held the Cougs to four hits.

"We were able to hold some runners from scoring," Benavides said, "and that really helped us."
