DW Golf shooting for upcoming District match

Dayton-Waitsburg Wolfpack golfer Theo Anderson shot a personal best at the Wine Valley Invitational on April 27, carding a 102 on the 18-hole, Par 72 match.

WALLA WALLA–The Dayton-Waitsburg Wolfpack Golf Team golfed the recent Wine Valley Invitational on April 27, with two golfers competing, Theo Anderson and Caleb Barron.

Anderson came in at 102, a personal best for him on 18 holes. Barron carded a 108.

"Both young men played well with Theo shooting a personal best," said Head Coach Mike McGhan. "Theo had some missed hits, as would be expected for a first-year golfer, but he doesn't let down and keeps battling.

"Caleb's driver wasn't working on the front nine," McGhan observed, "but he too kept battling and he could have broken 100 had some of his putts had dropped."

DW's next match was Wednesday, April 4, in Goldendale, and the district tournament is right around the corner on May 9 at Cle Elum's Suncadia Golf Course.
