RITZVILLE–Wolfpack tracksters Julia Brooks and Tony Halvorson were the top-performing DW Track and Field team members at the Undeberg Invite here April 30. There were athletes from 28 teams at the meet, schools ranging from 1B to 2A.

DW's next meet was a 2B league meet May 4 at Mabton followed by Sub-District in Dayton on May 12.

Brooks finished 14th in the 300m Hurdles in 1:09.18, setting a school record, and Halvorson's 12th-place in the Long Jump, at 14-7, was also a personal best.

Sprinter Hudson Reser was 13th in the 100m, setting a PR at 12:57. For the Lady Wolfpack, Kaydance Tiner and Trista Villaro both finished 16th, Tiner in the Long Jump at 10-10½ and Villaro in the Triple Jump at 21-11, a personal record.

At an EWAC East League Meet No. 2 at River View High School in Finley, DW's Marion Duncan, Vaughn Walter and Halvorson all led with team-high fifth-place finishes. Duncan ran the 400m in 1:31.91, Walter high-jumped 5-0, and Halvorson clipped through the 1600m in 5:59.68.

The DW girls had six individual personal bests while the boys had three.

Wolfpack sprinter Trista Villaro is out of the blocks and sprinting in the 100m. dash at the Undeberg Invitational at Ritzville last weekend. Villaro set a new personal record with a 15:53 time, and she set a school record in the 200m. in 33.71. She set a PR in the Triple Jump at 21-11 and also throws the javelin.
