Historically significant documents from the United State's history were installed in Weller Public Library recently as a "Freedom Shrine," courtesy of the Walla Walla Exchange Club. Included are copies of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution and Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.
WAITSBURG–The Exchange Club of Walla Walla donated and installed a 20-document acrylic Freedom Shrine to the Weller Public Library on June 30, 2022. More known for its prevention of child abuse program, the National Exchange Club also has a program to promote pride in our country. This "Americanism" program was born in the aftermath of World War II and is still going strong.
