DAYTON–Former Dayton attorney Abbie Broughton Marsh will give a presentation, "Federal Prosecution of Smuggling at the Southwest Border" at the January 12 meeting of the Dayton Kiwanis Club. The meeting will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Delany Building. The presentation will be by Zoom and the public is welcome to attend, either in person or virtually.

Marsh is employed at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Arizona.

Marsh spent most of her childhood in Dayton. When she was 12, her family moved to Garfield, Washington. She graduated from Garfield Palouse High School and then attended the University of Washington. Following graduation with a degree in political science and communications, Marsh enrolled in law school at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she received her law degree in 2003.

After working in California for several years at the District Attorney's Office in Riverside County, Marsh returned to Dayton in 2013. She worked for the Nealey and Marinella Law Office for two years prior to joining the Columbia County Prosecutor's Office as Deputy Prosecutor. She later returned to Arizona to work in the U.S. Attorney's Office.
