Columbia County Sheriff Joe Helm was administered the oath of office by Superior Court Judge Brooke Burns, appearing via Zoom, on Friday, December 30, to begin his second term in office. Helm was elected in 2018, succeeding retiring sheriff Rocky Miller, and re-elected in 2022.
