Leading the charge after DW got the ball back is Peyton Benavides, a 5-9 eighth grader who is making her mark on the DW Lady Wolfpack team. She led the team with nine points against Columbia Burbank.
BURBANK–In a season with few bright spots, Head Coach Dirk Hansen is proud of them when they happen. Dayton-Waitsburg Lady Wolfpack, playing against fourth-ranked Columbia-Burbank on Jan. 28, scored 24 points in the 51-24 loss.
"We only scored four on them when we first played them," Hansen said. "Again, only with six girls. We are improving."
