BURBANK–In a season with few bright spots, Head Coach Dirk Hansen is proud of them when they happen. Dayton-Waitsburg Lady Wolfpack, playing against fourth-ranked Columbia-Burbank on Jan. 28, scored 24 points in the 51-24 loss.

"We only scored four on them when we first played them," Hansen said. "Again, only with six girls. We are improving."

The Lady Wolfpack wraps the season tonight, Feb. 2, with a Senior Night contest versus Walla Walla Valley Academy, tip off at 6 p.m. DW is 0-8 in league, 1-11 overall.

Last weeks action included a 47-44 loss to River View. No stats are available.

Against Columbia, Peyton Benavides scored nine, coming on strong in the second half, with Marissa Tupling swishing a trey in the fourth quarter to finish with seven points. Makenna Barron scored five and Alyssa Hollingsworth made three points on a bucket and free throw in the final quarter.

Against Liberty Christian on Jan. 24, Benavides made four, and Kameryn Tupling, Teagan Culley and Hollingsworth all scored three with M. Tupling making a bucket in the fourth quarter.
