WALLA WALLA–Dayton-Waitsburg Track and Field Wolfpack competed at their first meet of the season here last Saturday and sprinter Hudson Reser finished in the top 20 among competition from three 4A schools, Kennewick, Mead, Walla Walla high schools, College Place (1A) and 1B DeSales.

"It was a great first meet," commented Head Coach Dan Nechodom. "With only two events per athlete, it's mostly a chance to remember, or learn for the first time, how to navigate a track meet, get to your events and be prepared for a good performance.

"Lots of jitters worked out," he added, "and lots of fundamentals learned. Many of our more experienced athletes are leading and serving well, and are already recalling details to work on perfecting.
