A lightning-cause fire on the ridge above the North Touchet Road was slowly skunking its way down the hill as firefighters from the Department of Natural Resources and Columbia County Fire District No. 3 coordinated a plan of attack Monday afternoon, August 5.
DAYTON–A Monday morning thunder storm cell rumbled through Columbia County, snapping out a few bolts of lightning which were suspected of starting a fire about ten miles south of Dayton on a ridge above the North Touchet Road.
