Denver Hutchens named Player of the Week

Bulldog sophomore Denver Hutchens is the WIAA/Gesa Athlete of the Week for the seventh week of the 2024 football season. In the game against Tekoa-Rosalia, Hutchens was thrown to 10 times and completed nine catches, which accounted for 230 yards receiving and five touchdowns, averaging 25.5 yards per catch, with his longest reception being a 61-yard touchdown. One of his five touchdown catches came on a deflection off the hands of a different receiver, leading to a 51-yard touchdown for Hutchens. He finished with 241 yards total in a 34-26 come-from-behind victory. Defensively, Hutchens plays left side defensive end, where he had 11 tackles and one fumble recovery.
