Photos from: Fiber Optic lines going up in Dayton

-Chronicle photo

The Port of Columbia's Dayton Community Broadband Project got underway in February with crews from Zere dB Communications LLC, Spokane, doing the outside-plant work of installing 432-strand fiber optic trunk lines around Dayton. Two bucket trucks and a crew of five have already installed some 60,000 feet of cable. When the "dark fiber" system is complete, customers in the community will be able to choose from one of three vendors for internet service.
