Former Dayton resident Kay McFarland, now of Walla Walla, responded after seeing this photo in the "Who Are They?" in the January 2, 2020, Dayton Chronicle. It was a photo provided by the Historic Dayton Depot Society, it being in their archives sans identifying information. According to McFarland, this crew worked for Erbes & Son's Sunnybrook Orchard, and were the all-girl thinning and picking crew for the orchard during the World War II years, which included McFarland's mother, Gladys. The orchard was located up the North Touchet, McFarland said.
