The Puget Sound Energy Foundation awarded a $1,700 grant to Skyline Adventures this week. The grant will help the nonprofit purchase 40 additional helmets for its outreach program that transforms lives by bringing skiing and snowboarding to disadvantaged, high-risk youth, citizens with special needs and healing veterans free of charge at Bluewood, said Kim Clark, Skyline Adventures treasurer, right, being presented the grant by Anne Walsh, PSE's Senior Wind Resource Advisor. About 600 people are impacted annually, Clark said, including about 280 at-risk youth, some 65 veterans and around 300 Special Olympics skiers and snowboarders.
