DAYTON–Joseph and Mary Ward are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lexus Ann Marie Ward, to Matthew James Richter, son of Gary and Coreen Richter

Lexus grew up in Dayton and was active in 4-H, FFA, National Honor Society, basketball, softball and a variety of other clubs and sports. She graduated from Dayton High School in 2014 and attended the University of Jamestown where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Communication Concentration. Lexus is employed at Collins Aerospace, in Jamestown, North Dakota, as a Procurement Associate in the Supply Chain department.

Matthew grew up in Moffit, North Dakota, and was active in wrestling and helping work on the family farm. He graduated from Saint Mary's Central High School in Bismarck, ND, in 2013 were he went on to North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND, and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Matthew is employed at Collins Aerospace as a New Product Design Engineer in the engineering department.

Lexus is the granddaughter of the late Duane and Delores Gibbons, the late Joseph and Rose Ward, and the late Frank and Joey Harshman.

Matthew is the grandson of Victor and Mary Richter, and La Verne Stroh and the late Rudolph Stroh.

The wedding is set for 3 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020, at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, ND.
