Letters to the Editor

To the editor,

My father and his brother were both veterans from WWII and fought in Europe against Nazi Germany…

Never in my life have I felt such vehement anger towards Trump calling dead soldiers who died in war and were buried in France as “losers” and “suckers”. The remarks have been collaborated by others who heard Trump say the remarks. In a sense, Trump let the cat out of the bag by saying he thought his then Secretary of Homeland Secretary, John. F Kelly was the one who shared the remarks with journalists. That just adds credibility because General Kelly was present when remarks were spoken. In my opinion, Trump’s denying he said the remarks is meaningless. There is a pattern of past behavior when Trump mocked Senator John McCain about his plane being shot down and he was captured by the North Vietnamese. He cruelly mocked the family who lost a son in Iraq. He mocked and discounted soldiers injured when their base was hit by rockets from Iranians in retaliation, I totally believe Trump said those despicable and denigrating remarks towards our veterans and heroes who gave their lives for our freedom.

Who in God’s name would ever want a commander in chief who denigrates veterans that sacrificed their lives for their country?

I am voting for Biden / Harris for President / Vice President and Dave Wilson for our 5th district State Representative as Cathy McMorris Rodgers supports Trump’s values 100% (? Including denigrating veterans).
