DAYTON–Renetta Jean Farley passed away Monday, February 22, 2021, at Dayton General Hospital.

She was born November 16, 1947, to Gerald and Joann Ogden Martin in Dayton, Wash. She was the oldest of three children.

As a child she lived in Dayton, Kennewick, Rapid City, S.D., Baker, Mont., then moved back to Dayton, graduating from Dayton High School in 1966.

While in high school, her family owned Carden's Café; it was while working there she met the love of her life, Dave Farley.

She then attended Eastern Washington University for one year. Then on August 13, 1967, she married Dave Farley in Dayton. The couple moved to Vancouver, Wash., for a short time before moving back to Dayton.

Upon returning to Dayton, Renetta worked for Hoffman's Bakery and Dayton Mercantile Bakery. She attended cake decorating school in Fresno, Calif. She then went to work at Cracker B's Pub.

Renetta was an avid reader. She loved spending time with family. She was a huge supporter of her children while in 4-H and FFA, raising their sheep, camping and fishing with family.

Renetta is survived by mother Joann Martin in Waitsburg; her two children Randy (Sandy) Farley of Waitsburg and Melissa (Glen) Davis of Pomeroy, Wash.; a sister and brother-in-law Mary Lee (Jim) Atteberry; brother Doug Martin of Walla Walla; four grandchildren: E.J. Meserve, Jared Farley, Drew Farley and Amy Farley; numerous nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Farley, and her father, Gerald Martin.

A private family service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2021, at the United Brethren Church in Dayton. Pastor Greg Brownell will officiate.

A graveside service open to all will follow at the Dayton City Cemetery at noon.

Memorials may be made to the United Brethren Church, Dayton.

Hubbard-Rogg Funeral Home is taking care of the arrangements.
