Off-season dedication pays in 38-0 win

DW quarterback Monte Pettichord laid this scoring pass into the outstretched arms of receiver Brayden Mohney (14) for DW's first touchdown in first quarter of the 38-0 win over Highland last Saturday. Pettichord hit nine of 18 for 205 yards and three touchdowns.

WAITSBURG–Dedication and hard work on their own initiative paid dividends for Dayton Waitsburg Valley Football as they resoundingly defeated Highland 38-0 here February 27 in the combine's first football matchup under the pandemic.

DW hosts TriCities Prep here Friday, kickoff at 7 p.m.
