Open House celebrates New State Farm Agent, Retirement of Bette Lou Crothers and Diana Ashley's 30-year anniversary

New State Farm Agent Avren Childers, left, shares a laugh with recently retired State Farm Agent Bette Lou Crothers and Joe Helm during the agency's Open House-Retirement-Anniversary celebration event last Saturday. Crothers retired last July, in the midst of the pandemic shutdown, and her successor, Childers, combined her welcome-to-the-community Open House with recognition of Crothers' retirement and celebration of associate Diana Ashley's 30 years with State Farm. Local residents drifted in and out throughout the four-hour event, partaking of Kiwanis Club hot dogs, State Farm swag, balloons and enjoying cordial conversation.
