Dayton-Waitsburg golfer Teagen Larsen tees off on the first hole at Columbia Point Golf Course in Richland last week. She is one of six DW golfers who competed in the six-school match.

RICHLAND–Columbia Point Golf Course's 18-hole, 72-par course is challenging, and it proved so for the six Dayton-Waitsburg Golf Team members April 14.

DW's Caleb Barron came in 12th out of 18 competitors with a score of 120, leading a tight group of fellow DW golfers Cayle Davis, 121, and Jay Dimak with 125, rounding out 13th and 14th places.

Wolfpack golfer Garrett Palmer was 16th with a 153 score.

DW's Teagen Larsen was seventh in a field of eight golfers, carding a 140, with teammate Lilly Bone in eighth, with a 146 score.

"All our kids are first-year golfers so this was the first match for most of them," commented Golf Coach Mike McGhan. "I saw a lot of good shots from all of them but inexperience really showed, especially when putting. This is a great bunch and I know they will continue working hard in practice."
