A celebration of our environment for families and schools

April 29, 2021

WALLA WALLA–The Wild & Scenic Film Festival for school age children have just arrived online in the Blue Mountain Region and videos are on demand April 26–May 3.

This is the seventh year in which the Blue Mountain Land Trust (BMLT) has partnered with the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) to share these films to inspire and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and our communities while creating a positive future for the next generation. Festival-goers can expect award-winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, wildlife, environmental justice, and more. There are three sessions. Age groups: K-4, 5-8, and high school.

The Blue Mountain Land Trust does more than conserve land; they connect people to the land through their “Learning on the Land” educational programs. Natural resources education opportunities like the Wild & Scenic Film Festival help build a connection to cultivate a love for exploring the outdoors and create a passion for protecting the Blue Mountain region for years to come.

Activities will be posted on BMLT website to pair with each session. Families and teachers can visit bmlt.org/events for more information and register for FREE access to the online film festival. Activities for the classroom are available upon request: [email protected]
