Letters to the Editor

June 17, 2021

To the editor,

I would like to show my support for Johnny Watts as he has announced his candidacy for Columbia County Port Commissioner. Although this is Johnny’s first time running for public office, he is no stranger to serving his community. Johnny has served as an Elder for his local church, was a volunteer fire fighter for Walla Walla/Columbia County District No. 2, coached our very own Dayton/Waitsburg football and baseball teams, and built a playground in Dayton for our local children.

Anyone who knows Johnny knows of his love for his country, community, and family and it is evident in all he does. He once told me that Dayton has been a part of him as long as he can remember, and he wants to see the continued positive impact that this community made on him growing up for future generations to come.

Johnny believes government has a role to play in the development, maintenance, and protection of the American experience but has become increasingly authoritative.

As Port Commissioner he wants to enhance public trust and institutional integrity through honest communications, active listening, and thoughtful solutions while serving the needs of his community. Johnny wants to back his fellow Columbia County Conservative (CCC) to ensure our fundamental way of life is cherished and protected for years to come.

Please join me in voting for Johnny Watts for Columbia County Port Commissioner No. 3.

To the editor,

I fully support the candidates of the Columbia County Conservatives. The reason for this is that I feel that these candidates have our community’s best interests at heart. And our best chance at getting back to our grass roots. That made America the great nation it once was.
