Manhattan Short Film Festival screens here

September 23, 2021

Celebrating 24 years of the 2021 global “Manhattan Short Film Festival” which is coming to the Liberty Theater September 24–26 and 28.

The Liberty Theater in Dayton is one of 400 locations across the planet simultaneously showing this film festival during an 11-day period starting in late September. Dayton is the only location in eastern Washington showing this film festival more than one day (once in Spokane), and there are no showings in eastern Oregon. The selected 10 finalist films vary from 9–19 minutes long and represent eight countries. Films cover a range of topics including one animated film about a girl and a horse, two stories about WWII, one about a boy that wants to sing in a choir but his family runs into troubles, as well as others. A description of each film is available at the 2021 Manhattan Short website.

Don’t miss this opportunity to view the 10 best short films each night at the Liberty Theater that were selected from 960 films submitted from 70 countries, and help a world-wide audience determine the best film and actor.

See the Liberty Theater website for more information. Seating is limited due to COVID distancing so reserve your seats. The Liberty Theater is maintaining distancing and mask requirements. Please help us provide a relatively safe environment for all by complying with the mask and distancing requirements. We appreciate your assistance and support.
