DAYTON–In the October 7, 2021 edition of the Dayton Chronicle, a quote attribution was incorrectly placed. The quote credited to Ashley Strickland of Emergency Management was actually a continued explanation given by Columbia County Auditor Anne Higgins. It should read: “Additional amendments presented were as follows, said Higgins. “Ashley [Strickland of Emergency Management and Dispatch] did not ask for an increase in Wages and Benefits, I just increased them on my own because it’s so low,” she continued.
