General Election Candidate

Aneesha Dieu - School Board Pos. 4

Aneesha Dieu

Aneesha Dieu is a candidate for Dayton School Board Position 4.

I am the wife of Tyler (Tiger) Dieu and the mother of 3 young boys. I have been part of Columbia County for 10 years after moving here from Pasco, Wash. Having a family has revealed the importance of faith, strength, morals, community, and education. Growing up in the public school system and knowing the youth are our future, I believe the education system needs to be on the front lines to fight for our children.

What I Bring: I believe the public school system should be here to guide our children and nurture their talents so one day they will become men and women we are proud of, not only as parents, but as a community. As a parent of children in the public school system, I see major failures that I hope to amend by taking action and promoting change.

Leadership, accountability, divergent thinking, are just a few characteristics that I possess. I am attentive, and I care, not only for my own children but for all of those in the community. I know this contributes to my strength to not back down from a fight.

What I am for: I am for minimizing social differences, retaining youth innocence, and protecting our children's virtue all of which are at risk with today's political agendas. I am for structure, support, guidance, consequences for one's actions, and rebuilding respect that seems to have been disturbingly misplaced.

I am for freedom. The governing body of Dayton School District are the safe keepers of our children's youth and we as the community have the right to choose who we think is suitable. Freedom to Speak, Freedom to Choose, Freedom to Live.

I believe children are here to dream, and we as parents and community members, are here to help make these dreams a reality.

The world today is filled with dishonest, misrepresented, inaccurate information that leaves us baffled at who and what to believe. This is where I trust the basic fundamentals of our freedoms and these are the only premise that holds true, is unwavering, and proves worthy of fighting for.

"It's not misinformation... it's a different interpretation," she said.
