Dayton Chronicle publishers Loyal and Charlotte Baker, and Chronicle staffer Dominic Truesdale attended the Washington Policy Center Annual Dinner in October, and were privileged to meet Ben Carson, M.D., the former secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Carson, a renowned neurosurgeon and 2016 presidential candidate, spoke at length to the standing-room-only audience, covering topics such as political correctness and WOKEism, conservative values, importance of education and the turmoil COVID-19 has created in American society, among many other topics.
