Dorothy was born in Dayton to Alethea and Roy Bell on an old ranch off the Hogeye. She loved telling the tale of when she was in school and throwing the ball over the school playing Ante-over.
An alumnus of the Class of 1947, she always looked forward to coming to Dayton for the reunions and seeing all of the various classes. She also liked catching up with the surviving members of her own class, plus on occasion, when able, to catch up with a few of the cousins still in the Dayton area.
She is survived by her three children, Linda, Richard and Duane (and their respective spouses), four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was an avid follower of the Dayton Chronicle, so her one wish was for this notice in lieu of any kind of memorial service.
