Mary Louise Guthrie

March 11, 1944–January 7, 2022

Mary Louise Guthrie passed away while at the Clarkston Prestige Care Home on January 7, 2022. She was 77.

Mary was born to Carl ad Zelma (Taylor) Dahl in Lewiston Idaho on March 11, 1944. She attended McNeil High School in Arkansas. She married Kenneth H. Guthrie on May 7, 1970 in Coeur d'Alene. Idaho. They moved to Dayton, Wash. in 1978, and there she worked as a cook at the Dayton General Hospital for 22 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, a Royal Neighbors member for 15 years, loved working crossword puzzle books, shopping at Walmart, and listened to Don Donelson Irish music.

Mary was preceded in death by her father Carl Dahl, mother Zelma Dahl, sister Carol Middleton, brother Carl Dahl, Jr., and husband Kenneth Guthrie.

She is survived by her sons Rodney (Melinda), Kenneth (Connie); Daughter Leigh (Gilberto) Garcia; niece Cindy Snider; grandchildren Josh, Samantha, Chantel, Ethan, Caleb, Seth, Sarah, Kristopher, and Tiffany; and three great-grandchildren.

A celebration o life will be held at a later date.
