February 3, 2022

Last week the library staff met to brainstorm and schedule events for the rest of 2022. We will be offering at least one program or event for each age group–young children; elementary, middle, and high school youth; and adults 18 and older. Regular programming will include Discovery Kids every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Family Story Time on the first Thursday of each month. We will be bringing back our monthly Book Chat gatherings as well. Once a month I will visit The Club to share stories, music, and activities with the kids in attendance. Our ever-popular Summer Reading Program will run from June to August this summer. The theme this year is "Oceans of Possibilities."

The second Poetry Slam will be held at the Delany Building on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 6 p.m. The theme for this event is "Love, Loss, and Learning." Come share your original poetry on this topic. Registration is requested but not required, use the online form. Prizes will be awarded to the top three poets.
