DAYTON–The Wolfpack boys team wrapped up its season with a trio of losses, finishing the covid-affected season 1-10 in league play and 3-14-1 overall. Two losses were forfeits at the end of January due to positive covid tests and Eastern Washington Athletic Conference athletic directors had agreed, prior to season start, that if a team couldn't play due to covid, the game would be forfeited rather than rescheduled.

The season wrapped with two rescheduled games against Warden and one against River View. At Warden Feb. 1, DW fell 51-43. River View visited Feb. 3 and slipped away with a 51-41 win. The season finale was Feb. 5 at home, Warden winning 66-46.

Warden blasted out of the gate to lead 10-0 before Dylan Bledsoe broke the ice for DW. Monte Pettichord's bucket with two minutes remaining capped DW's first-quarter scoring, trailing 12-4.

The Wolfpack worked on getting going in the second quarter but struggled, scoring just seven and lagging 28-11 at the break.

In the second half, DW found the hoop, scoring 17 in the third and 18 in the fourth but it was too little, too late for the Wolfpack as Warden continued its double-digit scoring finishing ahead 66-46.

Pettichord and Bledsoe both hit a pair of threes on their way to leading the team with scoring, 18 by Pettichord and 13 by Bledsoe and teammate Ryland Kilts.

On Feb. 3, River View inched away with a 51-41 Senior Night win, winning each quarter by a few points in spite of Kilts's game-high 19 and Pettichord's 14 points, and the Wolfpack making several runs, coming close but falling short.

The Panthers held a slim 10-6 first quarter lead and both teams were even in the second period, 20-15 at half time. Kilts made two free throws late in the second quarter to narrow River View's lead.

In third quarter, Keon Lindley hit a bucket to again make it a four-point game. Kilts hit another pair of gifters around 2:05 in the third, bringing DW within four, 28-24.

Lid went on the bucket as RV built a nine-point lead with a minute left in the third. Kilts hit a bucket to finish Wolfpack scoring and a 33-26 score after three.

Dylan Bledsoe opened the fourth with a basket, shaving the difference to five and Kilts popped in another to make it a three-point game, 33-30. Then Monte Pettichord scored to narrow the margin to one point, 33-32.

DW's run ran out of steam and the Panthers chalked up more points down the stretch, DW not getting any closer than six points.

On Feb. 1, the Wolfpack played competitively against Warden but Q Turner's 20 points and 12 rebounds spelled the difference in the 51-43 conference loss.

Dylan Bledsoe hit a pair of treys on his way to a team-high 19 points and Pettichord scored 17, but there were only two other Wolfpack players in the scoring columns.
