DAYTON–Councilwoman Marchand Hovrud has resigned her Position No. 5 seat on the City Council due to moving to another state, the Dayton Chronicle has learned.

Hovrud submitted a letter of resignation to Mayor Zac Weatherford on Wednesday, April 13. Hovrud did not indicate when the resignation, which came after the April 12 City Council meeting, will take effect.
