Waitsburg Celebration Days this weekend

WAITSBURG–There is fun to be done here this weekend at Waitsburg Celebration Days, May 20-22.

Jump right in Friday evening with an ATV Sunset Cruise at 5 p.m. and a Sunset Car Cruise at 6 p.m.

Saturday, grab breakfast from 7-10 a.m. at Waitsburg Town Hall, sponsored by the American Legion. The Kiddie Parade is at 9:30, followed by the Celebration Days Parade at 10 on Main Street.

Vendors and the Bruce Museum will be open both Saturday and Sunday starting at 9 a.m.

The Waitsburg One of a Kind Auto Show gets rolling at 10 a.m. Saturday in Preston Park.

Other things to see and do Saturday include Civil War Era Firearms, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Plaza Theater, tours of the Bruce Memorial Museum and Wilson-Phillips House from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

If you’ve got an ATV, join Karen’s ATV Poker Ride, at the Fairgrounds from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Saturday evening’s big bash is Burgers, Band and Brews, from 5-8 p.m. at the Fairgrounds, then wrap up the evening listening to The Shades from 8-11:30 p.m.

Sunday morning, give the Soapbox Derby a look at 9 a.m. in Preston Park, then slide over to Cowboy Church at 10 a.m., also in the park.

Luck of the Duck will be at 11 a.m. in Preston Park. Softball, at the Fairgrounds, starts at 12:30 p.m. along with the Dunk Tank.
