Miriam J. (Wilkinson) Davis

August 9, 1941–June 23, 2022

Miriam (Wilkinson) Davis, and for those back East, Rosie, was born to Ernest and Grace Wilkinson on August 9, 1941, in Hudson New Jersey. She grew up in Jersey City, her father passed away in 1948 when she was seven and grew up with her brother Joe and mother Grace Wilkinson. Graduated from Ferris high school, and met the love of her life, Jack Davis, in Jersey City while Jack was on leave in the Navy. They married in Jersey in 1962, and moved out to Washington State in 1964. Soon after had a son (Eric) and a daughter (Kay).

She worked as a bank teller while she and Jack raised their family. Miriam retired a few different times from almost every bank in town. She would laugh at that. Miriam’s retirement years were devoted to her family, grandchildren, and coffee with her friends. She was the best wife, granny, mom and friend we could have ever asked for.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Wilkinson; father, Ernest Wilkinson; daughter Kay Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jack Davis; son Eric (Shelli) Davis, Brother Joe (Elaine) Wilkinson, three grandchildren, Amanda (Blake) Marion, April Davis, Olivia (Zack) Bennett; five great grandchildren; Amelia Williams, Hank Williams, Taylor Bennett, Violet Bennett, and Grace Marion; nephews Jeff (Martina) Wilkinson, Michael Wilkinson; niece Kerri (Wilkinson) Fiore; and great nephew Anthony Fiore.

A celebration of life will be held at 106 Baileysburg Road, Dayton, Wash., on July 9 at 1 p.m. Sugar buns…if a little is good, a lot is better. Always look on the bright side of life. We love you Granny.
