KENNEWICK–Sadie Seney received the prestigious $2500 STAR Scholarship award at the State PEO Connvention recently.

Local Chapter BJ, PEO members recently attended the Washington State PEO convention in Kennewick where Dayton High School graduate, Sadie Seney was one of 10 young women in Washington to receive the $2500 STAR Scholarship from the state organization last spring.

Seney was chosen as an exceptional young woman in her final year of high school who would attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution. She gave an excellent presentation about how receiving the STAR scholarship helped her financially in her first year at WSU and shared her goals for the future.

PEO is an international philanthropic educational organization. Chapter BJ in Dayton was chartered in 1925.
