Letters to the Editor

To the editor,

I would like to share with your readers a story about Chuck Amerein that demonstrates his concern for the people in the community and his willingness to literally roll up his sleeves to help when needed. This past winter my husband and I were snowed in on our mountain property. I believe at that time Chuck and my husband had only met on one occasion, the summer before. When Chuck heard we were stuck he came to our home-no small feat as he had to hike deep snow up a nine-hundred-foot driveway, and this after navigating the ice and snow on the road to get to our driveway.

His concern for us and his willingness to do whatever he could to help us is a testimony to Chuck as a human being! He is not the kind of guy who sits behind a desk and pays lip service to helping people in need. He is the kind of guy who gets personally involved, forgoes his personal comfort and participates in the very real needs of the community. I have the highest regard for Chuck as a man and as a public official and wholeheartedly believe that he is the right choice for Columbia County.

To the editor,

I am delighted to support Chuck Amerein to continue the position of Columbia County Commissioner. He is straight forward person who isn’t afraid to stand up for the citizens’ rights in Columbia County.

He is open and honest with the public and is approachable. Chuck is a hard-working guy who will work endlessly to keep this county heading in the right direction.
