Driver injured in t-bone crash

The Indiana driver of this 2014 Ram van was transported to Dayton General Hospital with injuries after the vehicle was struck by a west-bound box truck last Monday afternoon. Stuart A. Sipahigil, 63, of Muncie, Ind., was southbound at the intersection of Highway 261 and Highway 12 at Delaney at 3:21 p.m., when, turning eastbound on to Highway 12, he failed to yield the right of way to a westbound 2022 box truck driven by Lorenzo J. Mata, 37, of Kennewick, Wash., according to the Washington State Patrol. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and both vehicles were totaled, the WSP reported. Sipahigil was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
