TriCities Prep stops Lady Wolfpack in three sets

DAYTON–The visiting TriCities Prep Lady Jaguars consistently held the Lady Wolfpack volleyball team to around 15 points in each of the three sets in their 14-25, 15-25 and 14-25 match win here October 13.

Dayton-Waitsburg Lady Wolfpack visited Columbia-Burbank last Tuesday and journeys to Warden today, October 20, as the season winds down. The final game will be Thursday, October 27 at Liberty Christian.

DW is 3-8 overall, 0-8 in 2B EWAC East volleyball league standings.

Head Coach Tracy Barron praised the young Lady Wolfpack squad for the improvement it showed during the match. "They moved their feet and picked up so many tough hits and tips," Barron noted. "The growth in Madison Kaehler and Jessika Lambert's play has been amazing to watch."

On the attack, Elsie Mann led with six kills. Peyton Struckmeier hammered four kills, Makenna Barron chalked up two kills and Kylee Henry made one. Henry counted nine assists and an ace serve. Barron made eight assists and served one ace in the game.

On defense at the net, Struckmeier put up two blocks and one dig, and Mann had one block and three digs in the match. Barron and Henry also both made three digs.
