DAYTON–Except for the event being canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, a Thanksgiving staple here for the past 35 years is the Kiwanis Turkey Bingo, set for this Saturday, November 19, at the Dayton Elementary Multipurpose Room. The games begin at 3 p.m. and go until 9 p.m.

There will be a plethora of spectacular prizes, gift certificates and, of course, turkeys.

Food and beverages will be available all afternoon and into the evening for Bingo players, with community youth assisting with serving.

The event is a community favorite and helps raise funds for the service club, which plows the funds back into the community, expressly to benefit the young people in the community.
