What's New at School?

Themed Sports Games

December 1, 2022

DAYTON-The Wolfpack (DW) winter sports season is starting up which will include themed sports games, with the first game at White Swan on Friday, December 2 at 6 p.m. for girls, and boys at 7:30 p.m.

The Waitsburg High School Associated Student Body (WASB) and Wyntr McCauley have been coordinating since the football season on the themed sports games. The idea had come up during a leadership conference in Pomeroy. Both the Dayton Associated Body (DASB) and WASB agreed on coordinating themed home games for the rest of the year for each sports season. This idea is meant to involve everyone throughout our communities and show support for our athletes. Getting both students and adults involved is very important to build our sports program.

We had a few games for the football season and the participation was amazing. The DASB and WASB have since, planned themes for every home game for student section and community supporters can participate. I will present that theme for each home game in my Dayton Chronicle What's New at School" column or on social media and flyers.

Wishing the best of luck to our athletes throughout the basketball season!
