Seminar instructs about COPD

DAYTON–A free instructional session on Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is being offered to the public, at no cost, on December 8. It will begin at 2 p.m. at the Columbia County Senior Center, 403 E. Patit Street.

Presenting partners of the seminar include CCHS PIPH Team, Aging & Long Term Care, Elk Drug & CCHS Pharmacy, CCHS Occupational Therapy, CCHS Palliative Care Team RN, Columbia County Public Health, CCHS Chronic Care Management RN, CCHS Respiratory Therapy- Equipment cleaning, service and demonstrations.

Attendees can learn about and see demonstrations about inhaler use, air quality information, COPD treatment options, COPD symptoms and triggers, COPD types and physiology and nebulized treatments. Information about available programs, plans and program assistance will be presented.
